PAGEANT DETAILS

DATE:

• All Contestant's are required to stay at the hotel for 3 nights minimum.
  

• Contestant cannot share a room with another Contestant but can share the room with a companion(s).
• Standard King Room Rate: $99 per night plus tax and $6 resort fee.
• Suites - 2 Queen Size Beds: $119 per night plus tax and $6 resort fee.
• Rates go up after April 1, 2012.
• Parking rate is $11 per day, per car (in & out privileges for overnight guests only)

ENTRY FEE DEADLINES:

If applicant is unable to make full payment at time of acceptance, the applicant goes into “pending status” which requires a $300 non-refundable entry deposit. Pending status offers you the first right of refusal on your title choices but does not hold a title.

The Pending applicant has 30 days to pay remaining non-refundable $300 entry.  Once applicant is paid in full they are released from "pending status" and will be awarded an open title of their choosing.  Crown and Sash will then be sent within 10 business days.

AT-LARGE TITLE REPRESENTATION:

Contestant's compete equally at the national pageant regardless of title representation.

Entrants are encouraged to choose a title, which provides the best opportunity for self-promotion, marketing of your platform, sponsorship securement and charitable endeavors. Many times a Contestant would prefer to represent her hometown in the pageant because she will receive more sponsorship, media and appearance support.

When selecting a title, possible locations to consider can include.

• Residency (current or previous) in the state, region, city;
• Employment (current or previous) in the state, region, city;
• Attends School (current or previous) in the state, region, city;
  
• Owns Property (current or previous) in the state, region, city;
• Regional can include several combined states or areas;
• Born in the state, region, city;
  
• Neighboring City or State

• At-Large Contestants may choose any title that they will actively represent as long as the title does not interfere with the intellectual property of another party.
• The Ms. America® Pageant retains full and ultimate authority for any and all decisions regarding the assignment of titles associated with the Ms. America® Pageant.
• Titles commence upon receipt of written notification from the Ms. America® Pageant and expire the day after the National Pageant has been completed. If a state, region or city titleholder would like an extension, titleholder is to get permission from the Ms. America® Pageant.
  
• The Ms. America® Pageant retains the right to assign a title to At-Large Contestant  at any time for upcoming Ms. America® national pageant competition. For example:  A 2013 at-large state titleholder may be assigned during the 2012 calendar year, even if the title is being held contemporaneously by a 2012 At-Large Contestant.
• Replacement of Sash for any reason is $35 plus shipping fees.
• Replacement of Crown (if available) for any reason is $125  plus shipping fees.
• Contestant may seek sponsors or may pay the entry fee herself.
  
• Contestant agrees to attend the Ms. America® Pageant once confirmed and appointed an At-Large title. Failure to do so may result in relinquishment of title.
  
• Contestant agrees to look solely to the Ms. America® Pageant with respect to all matters relating to this pageant.
• Titleholders who live in the State of California agree, when arranging appearances, to secure a complimentary invitation to said appearance for the Pageant CEO or Designee of Ms. America® Pageant at no extra charge to the pageant.
• The Ms. America® Pageant is intended to be held at a locale and during dates as may be designated by the Ms. America® Pageant. Ms. America® Pageant shall use reasonable efforts to provide Contestants with notice of the contemplated locale, required national Contestant arrival date and completion date for the National Pageant at least (30) days in advance of the required national Contestant arrival date. It is understood and agreed that, even after such notice, Ms. America® Pageant may reschedule the National Pageant to conform to its commitments relating to the Ms. America® Pageant.
• Contestant may withdraw from the Ms. America® Pageant competition at any time and agree in doing so, she will return at her own expense the Crown and Sash within 7 days after her withdrawal from the pageant. Contestant understands that there will be NO REFUNDS of any kind. NO EXCEPTIONS! All fees paid to the pageant are not refundable and not transferable in full or in part under any circumstance.
