Tustin resident on ‘Let’s Make a Deal’

July 28, 2011|BY NICOLE EINBINDER

TUSTIN – Deana Aburto grew up as a fan of the show "Let's Make a Deal."

As an adult, she was given the opportunity to compete on the show twice.

Aburto, of Tustin, appeared on the televised game show on Tuesday with her husband, Uriah Mollé, and won $1,000. She is putting the money toward their honeymoon in Aruba.

"I like 'Let's Make a Deal' because it is fun, crazy and exciting," she said.

"Let's Make a Deal" consists of audience members dressed in crazy costumes in an attempt to win cash and other prizes. They make deals with the host, Emmy award-winner Wayne Brady, at the Sunset Bronson Studios in Hollywood.

While on air, Aburto and her husband dressed up as sailors.

"I like that costume because I love the ocean and having fun," she said.

Brady joked with the couple about their attire, saying "Oh, you guys are going to swim away together!" or, "He is your main anchor!"
